Students can also choose from interdisciplinary studies offered by different networks. The University of Art and Design Helsinki collaborates with, among others, the following networks:

Asia Network

The Asia network maintained by universities and polytechnics aims at promoting tuition, research and exchange related to East and South-East Asia in Finnish universities, art academies and polytechnics of higher education. Read more: www.asianet.fi.

Finland Futures Academy (FFA)

FFA is a national education and research network in the field of futures studies for universities. The network is coordinated by Finland Futures Research Centre at Turku School of Economics, and it has 17 member universities. Students are offered a study module of 25 ECTS units. Communication Sciences Network

A multidisciplinary network, its research and instruction ranging from information research to journalistic research, speech communication and organizational communication, from media research to graphic design and audiovisual communication. Read more: http://viesverk.uta.fi.

Finnish University Network for Tourism Studies

Interdisciplinary degree and postgraduate education in tourism for its 17 member universities. Every year 50 degree students are selected. Postgraduate students can apply during the entire academic year. Studies (basic, subject, advanced studies) are included in the degree either as minor subject studies or integrated in other subjects. Smaller objective-oriented modules can also be included in the degree. Completing the studies implies participation in intensive courses. Read more: www.tourismuninet.org.

The network course Academic study skills provides the tools for learning, makes you acquainted with the university and the academic community and introduces the student to different sources of knowledge and information.
