Research, training and consultation services

Education and development services at the University of Art and Design Helsinki provides skills-related, development and supplementary training services related to continuous learning in creative fields, media, design, the performing arts and visual culture. IADE also engages in research, development and project activities, offering companies, among other bodies, development projects and commissioned training customized to their needs.

Designium, the New Centre for Innovation in Design, provides consultation services in all matters relating to the identification, analysis and protection of innovations. The services are available for both the University's students and researchers, as well as outside design entrepreneurs.

Innovation services focus on producing new information about the identification and management of innovations.

Future Home Institute attends to the practical realization of the Future Home R & D project. The research and development unit coordinates the whole realization of the project and supports planning preparations for separate research and development subprojects. The institute also ensures that the knowledge and results acquired in projects will be put into practice.

Western Finland Design Centre MUOVA is the research and product development centre of the University of Art and Design Helsinki and University of Vaasa. MUOVA offers design services to companies and communities, educates and carries out research work in the field of design as well as provides information on how to utilize design.
