Fields of focus at the School of Art and Media Pori are research and tuition in visual culture and media, and research and tuition connected to producing art, media and culture. Multidisciplinary research as well as new networks connecting science and art are developed at the School.

The School of Art and Media Pori is located in the University Consortium of Pori. The Consortium houses experts from 190 different fields and 2500 students.

The University of Art and Design Helsinki plays an active role in developing tasks and as an expertise organisation at the University Consortium of Pori and in the Satakunta region. The School collaborates with several regional, national and international communities and actors in the field of visual culture and media production.
